PUBLISH - No longer asked about saving current list of sheets?

Hello,

When we publish we are always asked if we wish to save the current list of sheets.

See attached screenshot.

One of my users no longer gets this option.

Every time he publishes the program goes directly to the Save List As dialog box

so he can name/save a .DSD file.  He no longer gets the option of a box asking

him if he wants to save the current list of sheets.

My guess is some variable got changed that has removed the option of being

prompted about saving the .DSD file.

Would anyone know what this variable is.

So far I've been unable to find it.

Thank you much,

Steve

P.S. We're using AutoCAD 2012.

See that little UNCHECKED box on the pop-up you posted in your screenshot? They checked it: cause and effect, it's time for a slap across the back of the head for them on that one :smileyhappy:

now fix it:

Dean,

Already did the first part.

Bonked him on the head and said don't check that box again.

But your recommended fix is no good.

I went to Options >> System tab >> Hidden Message Settings

There is no checkbox related to publishing.

Maybe you meant somewhere else?

The attached screenshot shows what I see.

Thanks,

Steve

Weird: just for you I went ahead and checked the box, then reset it as noted in that link. R2012, full admin in Win7 here. See screenshot.

Dean,

Thanks for trying but your dialog box is different from mine.

I'm running the AutoCAD Mechanical 2012 in VANILLA mode.

I have no idea why my hidden message settings are different.

I was hoping I could find the variable that controls this.

If anybody else has another suggestion I'd appreciate hearing from them.

Regards,

Steve

It might be a MECH2012 quirk: ask in that forum while you wait here, perhaps there is another method in that version.

Problem solved.

I did not realize the Hidden Messages dialog box is different for every user

depending on which messages they have hidden.  We found the setting and

set it back to not be hidden.  Thank you all.
