    Generic Print Areas

We have 15 offices worldwide using AutoCAD with a Standard Template for ISO papersizes (A0, A1, A2, A3 & A4) however we have different printers/plotters in different offices.

Does anybody know of a generic print area that i can set the blocks too? if i set the print area for the OCE plotters they do not suit the HP Designjets etc.

Same issue when printing to pdf.

I need a suitable print area for All ISO sheet sizes that will work with any plotter/printer & pdf driver.

    Any suggestions?

Find the one device you use most with the largest margins, and set up your sheets for that device (DWG to PDF.PC3 file seems to fit that bill for us). Otherwise, there is no magic bullet, you pretty much have to develop this one in-house with your choices for output.

    Thanks for the update.

i took a sample of 4 printers/plotter/pc3 files this morning & came up the with the meanest drawing area being that of the DWG to PDF.pc3 file

    this has now been used.
