2013 Plotting issues with KIP 7700

Has anyone had issues plotting to a KIP 7700 with 2013 MAP 3D?
My images (xref .tif) are not crisp and clear. Text is faint in some spots. Plot/page setup will automatically switch from landscape to portrait. I've tried multiple plotting methods with sheet set manager overrides, publish, DWF, PDF, etc.
How can CAD automatically change a set page setup? Is it an issue with the plotter and CAD together?
Any ideas will be appreciated...I've wasted so many hours just trying to plot drawings.
