middle button mouse 'sticks' on pan

We also have been having some trouble with our mice....in particular the middle button and panning....

My workmates and I find that occasionally when using realtime pan on the middle mouse button (by holding the button down), it won't 'let go' when finished panning, and gets stuck. We then have to do ctrl/alt/del to get out of Acad and restart.

This has mostly been an occasionally problem, until today when my workmate has been having it happen every ten minutes or so - VERY annoying! His computer has a new logitech mouse and has just had windows reinstalled too.

Any suggestions would be grateful - and help our sanity! :-)

If clicking one more time does not release the pan this points
to

that the "up message" does not arrive to acad.

Switch to another application with Alt-Tab and try the
mouse

there.

If the problem is only in acad, you need to reinstall
acad.

If the problem is also in Windows in general try uninstall the

mouse and and driver, then reinstall. Read about drivers

Thanks - will check and see if it does it in other windows programs with my workmates.

We are getting a new server and upgrade of all our pcs in the next week or two so hopefully that will sort out any problems.
