Mesh view makes parts dissapear

If I am zommed in close, I see the model.

As I zoom back a bit and orbit, portions go away as if the lighting is making triangles dissapear, see images.

Also, once the bounding box is displayed, it won't go away.

I am in chrome on a win 7 64 machine, lots of ram and high end vid card - nvidea k4100m

I see whats causing this now.

If you pick one of the photos, it shows the photo and model lined up for a second or two.

Then things go haywire and the triangles act odd. Its very confusing as the image is gone, yet the model is there.

How can I get rid of that "photo overlay" mode, as selecting another just switches to it. You cannot get out of that mode.

You have to close chrome and re-open to get the model back to regular currently.

Also, can I make the preview longer, before the image goes away?

Hello, can you share the project with us recap360@autodesk.com, so we can explore this problem further? this is new.

Thanks

I dont see anything wrong with it, i can go from one camera position to another for all your photos and your model stays the same

would you mind going to Menu - Tools - Clear Browsing Data - Clear Caches from beginning of time to see if it is going to be better?

I did the clear cache step a couple times, it has no effect.

I must close chrome and reopen to get back to normal.

chrome version is Version 35.0.1916.153 m

I can consistently reproduce the error so we can try whatever makes sense to narrow down.

hold everything.

I did an update on chrome to Version 36.0.1985.125 m, and it all works now.

Seems that is critical. Issues solved.

while on this, didn't you think the model results were average?

The corners of the bldg were not great, and lots of things came out wierd compared to what I expected.

I was basically getting what I considered a minimum number of pics for a model, but things like the blue awning came out horrible, and I had at least three angles on it.

Any idea why it did so bad on that?

I dont think you have enough pictures, the thing is you need to take the pictures continuously from one to another with a lot of angles, and survey points are good to make sure your edge stays sharp.

we had constomers taking 200 images to just capture a small object.

hmm, even after trying with many more pictures, some projects fail and some come out rather "melted".

I have yet to see decent results on things I thought would be easy.

200 pics is a lot too. Just keeping track of that many is tricky "did I already take from this angle?...."
