I need to find a way to simulate a quite big object which falls into the water and then floats up again to the surface. Like the picture below. The first part of the fallen object is easy with MassFX, but I cant find any waterplane to interact with like the one that used to be in Reactor. I got a tips of using Pflow, but dont know how to. In the end this fall will be used in a Phoenix FD foam and splash simulation, but Phoenix doesnt have the possibility to interact with floating objects either. Thanks for any tips or tutorials. this
Thank you for your posting. Not sure on this one. Can you please provide the tips that you were given for Pflow and MassFx for our research. I will ask around as well to see if any of my fellow techs have any ideas.
Mass FX works fine until the object is supposed to hit water. I cant find any water plane or water element like the one that used to be in Reactor. Why is it removed?
With Pflow I have seen videos on youtube how to create water with particles, but it's a bit complicated and even if I follow that tutorial I dont get the result I want.
Any luck with asking around? This should be quite easy to do, so I'm quite confused why I can't get an object to physically interact with water.
Hello-
I am waiting on some replies on if anyone else has any good ideas or workflows for this. In the meantime this is a good video showing water simulation. I think it might be the one you have already seen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlb37vUjvOs
I will get back to you as soon as I have more to share.
Best Regards.
Hello-
After doing some further research I have found that you can simulate an object falling into water using massfx and the flex modifier. Please see the following links and let me know if this is what you are looking for:
