Workspace Colour Theme

Hi Guys,

The PLM 360 user interface is great. Its very clean and consistent between workspaces. However, some of our users complain that its not always easy to tell one workspace from another.

I think it would be a great idea to be able to add a soft colour theme to individual workspaces. Nothing too complicated. Light almost white shades would be enough. Perhaps one workspace could have a light blue interface coulour while another could be a light green. Perhaps all email notifications from individual workspaces could have the same colour shading?

Agreed - we currently use beautifully formatted Excel files and it will feel like a backwards step when we move this to PLM360.  Having the ability to choose the colours to add to a workspace would be brilliant to help our users, many of whom are very visual, to more easily identify where they are.  This is especially important as a number of our users have dyslexia and so find it harder to use the text alone as an identifier.

As an extension of this it would also be great if for example, in the BOM, it then showed the text in a colour relevant to the workspace the BOM item is coming from.  So if our Projects workspace had a green colourwash/theme, the descriptor in any BOM tab showing Project Items would also have them in green text etc.

It would help identify BOM items even more clearly than just the indentations on the BOM list.

Hope that maks sense - no idea if it's achievable!

Hi David, This is a good suggestion. Currently we identify each section with icons. The icons than represent in the workspaces that belongs to the various sections. Also on the top left hand corner we also have workspace name. We don't have any unique identifier for the workspaces. We will take your suggestion into consideration, and add to our future enhancement list. thanks, Trung

I think this would be a great idea, one of the first comments made by my team when using the system was that it would be great to have the workspaces identified by colour in addition to the current ways of identification.
