Workflow actions

Hi there,

I've built a new workspace with a certain workflow. But I can't move the workflow in the next state, even though I have the permission to do so.

Could you help me to figure that out pls?

Thanks!

Lukas

Is the option to "Select a workflow action" available within the Workflow Actions tab?

Can you provide the specific workflow permissions you have assigned?

No i'ts not available.. if it will, I would be happy 🙂

I've set the defined workflow permission in the workflow editor!

Sounds like you may not have added the workflow permission to a role that is assigned to a group that has your user account as a member.  Look at the preconfigured Roles in your tenant that are labeled with a [WF] as an example.

Can you please confirm this?

During creating the workflow there is an option to set a new permission which i named "[WF] Requirement". After that I assigned is permission to the admin group which I'm a member.
So I can't confirm this.

Can you send me screen shots of the Permission, Role and Group so I can piece it together?

The issue points to that area as the problem.

Hi Lukas,

I think i see your problem - You need to have a transition from the start point to the first state - the blue + icon... Drag an arrow (transition) from that... to your first gray box and you should be set.

Another thought - Did you start with a basic workspace and add workflow later?

If you did that - any record that was created before workflow was added will not work with that workflow - they'll be stuck in a "stateless" situation.

You will have to export those, purge out the records and re-import them.

Hi,

that should be the problem! Thanks, but how can I export them?

Best regards

Lukas

Hi,

In your tenant go to Reports, choose the workspace you would like to export.  When you create the report choose the fields you would like included when you import the data back into your workspace.  Once you save the report, go back and open that report in Excel and save it locally.  From your tenant go to Tools/Imports and import the spreadsheet back into the workspace you created the report on.  Make sure the user that will be importing has the "Run Imports" Special Permission assigned.

Hope that helps,
