Vault Sync tool for PLM360

Hi all,

I'm searching the Vault synch tool for PLM360. Months ago I downloaded the fist sync tool through the subscription centre, but now I can't find the newest tool release there.

Can you help me?

Thanks in advance

Best regards

Dear Fausto,

The Vault Sync tool was discontinued late last year.

You can use Autodesk PLM 360 Connect to transfer data between Vault and PLm 360. Information can be found here.

Thank you Andrew.

I searched through the link you provided me and I found a lot of useful information but I couldn't find a link in order to download the sync tool. Could you tell me where can I find it?

Thanks

Ciao

Fausto

Hello Fausto,

Autodesk PLM 360 Connect isn't a free tool to be downloaded. It's a complete middleware solution. You can use it for Vault but also for other sources and/or targets such as ERP and CRM applications.

I suggest you contact your account manager to enquire on how you can purchase this tool.

Hey Fausto,

I'd be interested in hearing what you think about the pricing once you find out

Cheers

Hi All,

I had a chat with my rep at Autodesk after reading this post. We costed our PLM/PDM implementation based on the Vault integration being free (as it was before). I'll be expecting the new integration to be free also - otherwise I'm going to have a problem with my board!

Also I have to say that Autodesk's communication of this could have been a little better. Otherwise I'm pretty happy with the level of service.

David.

If you have it already, I believe it will continue to 'work' albeit any bugs won't be fixed and it will be unsupported.

However, usign the REST API you can write your own integration without having to use PLM 360 Connect/Jitterbit... Potentially that could be far more cost effective in the long run for small to medium businesses.

Hello Scott, I think that this change can be difficult to explain to Autodesk Vault customers as they would expect to connect with PLM360 without having to purchase a synch tool. In addition to this, if I understood well the PLM360 connect price (12.000 $), I think that it will be seen as to exprensive in order to transfer item, boms and dwf. Maybe it has been a mistake to release a first free Vault synch tool release (it was available for customers with Vault maintenance), because at that time the message spread was that the synch tool was free, and now it isn't.

Cheers
