Running Script automatically post-creation

Hi,

Is there any way to run a script automatically after an item has been created?

I know that I can create items in scripting and then perform post-creation actions. But in this instance I cannot create the item via scripting as it is  a revisioning item and I cannot add to the workflow items using scripting.

Thanks,

David.

Hi David,

As of right now the only two choices would be on-edit or change in the workflow (based on the item itself). However, if neither of the options are available to you, one could look at what else is happening in the system when you want it run a script.

For example, If you have an Item in another workspace (that can reference the workspace in question) then you could always use what is happening in the other workspace to kick of the script to manipulate the workspace in question.

Hi Joe,

I don't think either of those methods would work for me. I'll raise it in IdeaStation.

Thanks,

David.
