MultiSelect Picklist in Managed Items Tab

Is it intended that the multiselect picklist option is not available for the managed items tab and only the grid or item details.

Is this a limitation due to embedded arrays or hopefully an oversight, if so I would gladly add an Idea Station request?

Thanks for any insight, it effect how I will plan my workspace usage, I have need to make grid that supports records from multiple workspaces, but only one workspace per row, similar to how the managed items tab is set up through relationships. The multiselect field is used irregardless of which workspace the key (managed item) the row points to, the available selections in the picklist would get applied to only that row through the workflow script actions.

The basic layout  - WS_A has a tab that lists parts (items) added to the rows of the tab from multiple source workspaces, the multiselect field is from the suppliers workspace. The user will multi- select which vendors they want quotes from then transition to next workflow state which creates the new RFQ records. This works fine in the grid, but you can only have one workspace added to the grid rows (or have multiple fields and only pick one) not a good set-up.

If we cannot use multiselect in the managed items tab I will need to look into multiple workspaces?

Thanks,

BD

Hi,

Having a Multiselect Picklist available when creating a field on the Managed Items tab would be a feature request and can be added to the PLM 360 Idea Station for consideration by the PLM 360 Development Team to be included in a future release.

Thanks for the great idea.
