Is Excel misleading me or is the import tool defective?

I'm trying to import data into a workspace. However, when I reach the "Edit Import" stage, my part number has lost two digits!

Data as displayed in Excel:

Data as displayed by the Import tool in PLM:

ImportTarget.PNG

Could you explain this magic trick?

This is a classic case of discrepancy between what an Excel cell shows you and its value.

The cell shows the string "001201" but, if you look into the formula bar, you can see that its value is 1201:

The reason behind this is that the cell's format is set to "000000" in order to display 6 digits:

Therefore, the import tool is correct when it displays a value of 1201 for the entry.
