Problem with Advanced Permissions on Item Detials

Hi,

The advanced permission options on the item details for one of my workspaces don't seem to be working correctly. When I set up a permission for only one group to be bale to edit an item it seems members o the view-only group are still able to edit.

David.

Hi,

I can confirm this is occurring accross multiple workspaces. This is a very serious issue as users have access to data they shouldn't. Please escalate and create an urgent support case.

David.

Just to provide update here for the audience experiencing these symptoms.

The fix is still being worked on. We have a solution proposal from development and are evaluating its viability and risks.

In meantime, I hope following would help to reduce the perception of the severity. We've confirmed that although users (that only belong to view-only groups) are able to see the restricted fields as editable, even when they attempt to update and save field edits for sections that should be read-only for them, those edits would not persist and be ignored.

So there is no permissions problem here. The model still respects users' limited access to certain sections. Rather, the issue is representational in nature in how the UI presents those permissions and causes confusion.

We will update further status as it becomes available,

Hope this helps,
