Hi,

Is possible to make exports from PLM to MS Outlook calendar (meeting invitation).

Best regards.

David

Hello David,

At the moment, there is no way to export that information. However, there is an easy workaround (unless you want to automate the process).

You can embed an iFrame in a specific workspace. The code for the computed field is: '<iframe src="https://website_address" style="border: 0" width="800" height="600" frameborder="0"></iframe>'.

The resulting screen can be seen in the attachment. A user will then log into the system and create the required invitation.

Best regards,

Hi Andrew,

I want to make human resources solution in project management. I have a workspace with pople (names, emails etc.)

I need only some possibility, how to generate invitation email (like the possibility "Export to calendar" on Autodesk Lerning Portal).

Is it possible?

Best regards

David

Hi David,

At the moment, this isn't possible.

We understand what you are trying to do and will look into this for future releases.

David,

Just to expand on this a bit, and to get some more feedback on this from you.

In order for us to interact with outlook it would require an “invite.ics” file swap. Which is something feature we could add to the system at a later date.

However, at what point and where / how would you like to be able to add something to an outlook calendar? Would you like to be able to go into the Project management tab and click on something there? Or would you prefer to be able to script this in yourself and have it generate an email on a workflow change to the people assigned to the project in question?

Or is there a different way that you would like for this to work?

Thank-you for the input!

Hi ,

the second possibility is better for me. I think that using scripts (which will generate .ica files) in workflow is more open solution which give me more customization possibilities.

Regards

David
