Attachment Thumbnail

Hello,

        When I attach a file in my PLM360 tenant, I can’t see the preview.

In my personal profile the setting Show Thumbnail for attachment is enabled.

The strange thing is that I can see and navigate the thumbnails of documents already attached in my PLM360 site (they were samples prepared by Autodesk), but not the ones attached by myself.

I am using an Administrator user.

What kind of attachments can you or can't you see, i.e. PDF, DOCX, etc.?

According to the Wiki (link), only images and PDF files display a thumbnail.

Hi Fausto,

It seems that the issue is related to the way PDF Creator generates the files (possibly the compatibility level).

I will send your file to the development team so when can check whether it's related to the iFilter used on the server.

Hi Andrew, Just to confirm you that your suggestion was good. The problem was related to the compatibility level on PDF Creator Option Settings for pdf format: now I have set it to Adobe Acrobat 6.0 (PDF 1.5) and it works. Before it was set to a prior compatibility level (PDF 1.3).
