get file format

Hi

How can I get the current file format from a document?
For example, to know if a file is a dwt?

Sorry, not enough coffee yet....
Once you have a document it will always be in DWG-format. A DWT is only during startup used
to create an initial copy of the drawing (actually a DWT is just a DWG with a different
extension)
Why/what would you need to know about the 'DWT'?
