How to save the Page setup name in DSD

Hello

I've tried the code found in the following links:

http://www.acadnetwork.com/index.php?topic=315.0

http://docs.autodesk.com/ACD/2014/ENU/files/GUID-56BD3247-471C-4471-A238-FFDFDC3BD2E4.htm

http://adndevblog.typepad.com/autocad/2012/05/how-to-use-autodeskautocadpublishingpublisherpublishex...

To create a page setup then assign it to an autocad file layouts, then I created a dsd file passing a list of file names to it and the created page setup name. The problem is the dsd file doesn't save the name of the page setup. I guess the property assigned to it is the Nps property. I tried so many ways but the code doesn't work. Also although I assigned the page setup programmitaclly to the layouts successfuly  (i.e. the code doesn't give me errors) the plot report doesn't mention the assigned page setup (i.e. it remains empty). I don't know why 😞

Please help

Hi,

DSD is a text file, so try adding the setup name yourself.

If above suggestion fails, then please share a simple drawing file with sample code to reproduce the error.

Dear Virupaksha Aithal KM

Please find attached sample of my project and the working files.

The problem is the page setup is created and assigned successfuly to the "Drawing1.dwg" file, but that doesn't show in the plot report.

Plot report.png

The second issue is that the DSD file didn't save the page setup and even if I edited it manualy it still plotting without it.

Also the file "Filling Cabinets.dwg" is successfully added to the DSD file but it never gets plotted.

I want to apply the "My_Page_setp" to all the files added to the DSD file and plot it

Hi Mustafa,

The workaround is to edit the DSD and have the page setup name inserted.

You can find a similar workaround being used in this blog post :

http://adndevblog.typepad.com/autocad/2013/10/publishing-model-views-to-a-multi-sheet-dwfpdf.html

About the drawing not plotting even after the DSD is changed, I am not sure what might be causing it.

Does the publish work ok if the same DSD is used in AutoCAD UI through the "-publish" command ?
