How can i copy a entitiy to anohter layer

does anybody knows that how to copy any entities to another layer
i couldn't find any helps from AND web site
may be i did fooling a round


anyone reply to me plz

First make a copy to the entity and next open just created entity for write and use setLayer()method to change the layer.
