Hi,
I found compiled versions
of PyQt4 available for linux
I'm user fedora 17
I tested from Maya 2012 ,It's work fine 🙂
Simple copy to /usr/autodesk/maya_version/lib/python_version/site-packages
with this structure
/PyQt4/*
/sip.so
/sipconfig.py
/sipdistutils.py
For Download python and Qt versions Maya 2009_2011_2012
