Third person

Hello,

when I turn on the third person navigation I can see the scene from inside the avatar, instead than from behind.

I tried to copy the settings from my colleague´s Navisworks (that is allright) and tried to import them in mine with no results.

Also when I walk in the scene the height of the "eyes" is very low, like a mouse is walking in the scene.

Does anybody have an idea what it could be and how to solve it?

Thanks in advance.

Luca

Hi Luca,

Welcome to the forums!

So there's two things here you'll need to look at. The camera position and the Tilt angle.

Viewpoint > Align Camera > Straighten, or showing the tilt angle and setting this closer to '0', or by using the scroll wheel on the mouse to tilt the camera up.

You can then change the position of the camera relative to the avatar by using the Camera drop down underneath this to set the position of the camera and where it is looking at.

Let us know how you get on.

Hello,

some times ago I had a problem with my Navisworks Manage third person view. I see the model from "inside" the avatar, and I am not able to change the settings to go back to normal. Last time it was enough to reinstall the software to solve the problem but this time am not able to go back to default values.

Any idea about how to solve it? I have to prepare a presentation in the near future and I would like to solve the problem asap.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

Luca Tola

As well as in the main options (F12 > Interface > Viewpoint Defaults) the settings may also be saved in the Viewpoint, you would need to right click the viewpoint > Edit  and change the Collision Settings

Hello,

thanks for your prompt reply. Attached are screenshots of the current settings for the viewpoint. I cannot find the viewpoint you suggest to right click on, where is it?
