Revit Add-ins External Tools button is greyed-out

I have installed Revit Archtecture 2012 and Navisworks Manage 2012. Revit 2012 64-bit exporter was selected during install and appears in Control Panel Programs and Features.

Inside Revit Arch 2012, I have an Add-ins ribbon tab, but the External Tools button is Greyed-out.

I have uninstalled and re-installed just the exporters, and then uninstalled and reinstalled the full Navisworks Manage application.

Using AutoCAD, I know how to manually load the plug-in, but I don't know how to do it in Revit. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance,

Tim Corey

tcorey,

Hello. Are you in a 3d view? If the item appears but is grayed out, it is installed on your system - it is just that you are not in a place in Revit where the exporter is an active tool for your model.

Can you click the 3d view button in Revit to view your model as a 3d  solid and check to see if the tool is active?
