Resources and problem with clash detection

Hi,

I'm using Navisworks Manage 2011 64b version and simulate 2010 32b version and wondered whether it is possible to let Navisworks show the resources i've added to my schedule. I'd like them to show somewhere on screen whilst playing the Timeliner animation.

Also, when i'm using the clash detective (manage 2011) Navisworks crashes.

Whenever I try to detect clashes with a moving object (with 'link' set to TimeLiner), Navisworks starts 'working' but won't pass the 74% - 76% mark. After some time (30 minutes or so) a windows pops up telling me that the program has stopped responding to windows.

It doesn't matter whether i'm clashing te moving object with one other object or with the whole model, Navisworks just won't do it.

Does anyone has any idea what's the problem?

Hello Pixeltje1,

There is currently no option to display a schedule or schedule items inside the timeliner animation. If you think this would be beneficial, I recommend you submit this as an enhancement request to our development group. You can do that here:

As for clashes within Clash detective, there are a few things that could be going on here.

-Make sure you have the 2011 service pack installed, and the subscription advantage pack as well. If you do not yet have these installed, you will want to uninstall the Navisworks exporters first, before you install the Service Pack- you can reinstall them after.

-Check to make sure your Graphics card drivers are up to date.

-Turn off Hardware acceleration.

-You could have a corrupt installation of some type. If this happens on multiple models, not just one, then you may want to consider a repair or a reinstall. If you have another computer with Navisworks already installed, you could test it there too to see if it still crashes.
