Reset/delete the section box

Hello,
I don't use Navisworks a lot, but I'd like help on the following:

From NaviwWorks Simulate 2012 User manual:
When the section box is first created, the default size of the box is based uponthe bounds of the current viewpoint.  Afterwards, enabling a section box restores the saved position, rotation, and scale information used if it is available for the current viewpoint.

BUT how can I either reset/delete the section box or set it bounds to the current viewpoint? Preferably the latter.

regards,

Lars A.

This isn't possible through the interface, you would need to manually move and resize the box to where you want it.

I would suggest initially saving a viewpoint with the Section box at the default location, then you can go back to this each time you want to move it.

I have asked product management to look at this as an enhancement request.

Okay,

Based on your information I now know that I should save a View WITHOUT the box defined. I can then go back to this viewpoint and then the box will be created based uponthe bounds of the current viewpoint (I have of course changed the Viewpoint before I do this, typically selected and zoomed into a specific item).

Thanks for your help.

Regarding enhancement:

What I want is to be able to set the Box around a specific object, typically around the selected items. I.e. a button to move and size the box to fit the current selection.

regards,

Lars A.

Hi Lee,

Has the enhancement request been incorporated into more recent versions of the software yet?

Kind Regards,
