Navisworks - Clash Detection

Hello,

Im Clash detecting my Civils model against the architects model.

(Both exported from Revit 2012 as cache file files,  Revit Structure for the Civils and Revit Architecture for the architects)

I think the architect is using 'room bounding'? these rooms come up as mass areas in navisworks, these inturn clash with absolutely everything!

Using Revit structure or Navisworks is there a way to turn these rooms off? or delete? or not clash against?

This clash detection is a weekly process and with many other models, any suggestions would help,

Cheers all,

Joe

Hi tata2012

By default, “Export room geometry” is marked in the settings of the Navisworks exporter plugin in Revit.  If you unmark this box, the room geometry will no longer be included in the exported model.

Before Exporting, in the export window, click Navisworks Settings, and you’ll see this checkbox.

Alternatively, if you take your exported NWC that includes the room elements as geometry, select those elements and Hide them in the current viewpoint, when you run a clash test, those elements will be ignored.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue.
