Hyperlinks removed when nwc file is updated.

A little background of my issue/ software that I am using:

Plant 3D 2012

Navisworks Simulate 2012

A nwc file is exported each time there is a change which updates the nwf file that is then used to view the model in Navisworks Simulate.

The issue:

We are using hyperlinks to keep track of which piece of equipment has been modelled from a certain drawing. My issue is when that each time an layer is frozen or turned off, and when the equipment is hidden and a new nwc file is exported, and the nwf file is refreshed. When the layer is turned on or thawed or item is no longer isolated and nwc file is exported again, the hyperlink has been removed.

Is there any way to mantain the hyperlinks so that we can keep track of the potential changes in new drawings associated with that equipment.
