As the building goes up the code requires at a height of 75' or 6 stories I have to provide horizontal nets and then every two floor not to exceed 30 feet in height. Typically I handle this by simply installing nets at the 6th floor, 8th floor and so on.
What I am trying to do in timeliner is show that transition so as the building goes up you see the nets transfer from 6 to 8 to 10 and so on. I am assuming the same solution would work for other objects as well like support of excavation so that when the foundations go in the support of excavation disappears.
What I looking for is a sample that I can look at and use. Thank you.

As the nets are temporary items in the model, you can use/modify the temporary task type and task type definition under the configure tab.
You then can create a task for when those temporary nets are present. In the attached example, the nets start appearance is model appearance and the end appearance is none, so when the task for the nets starts they appear and when the task ends, they are no longer visible. These tasks overlap the floor construction dates.

We had done this process before and what was happening is the temporary condition retains a yellow color throughout the timeline. The solution we were looking for would show the horizontal net in place and then remove it at the desired time. What I will do for now is change the color setting in the configure tab to orange.
Normally we would do the animation as a moving element. The problem is the building has many setbacks and moving the horizontal nets does not read well.
If you can direct us to sample scripts or animations to do something tlike this we would appreciate the advice.
I've attached another example by modifying the example I previously posted. I modified it in the following way:
In the original example, there are two sets of nets, the lower and higher level nets that would be hidden after their simulation tasks completed. For this example, I hid the nets that are in the higher position. In essence, you can consider these higher level nets deleted.
In Simulate, there are two tasks Net_pos1 and Net_pos2 that now have the same set of nets on the lower level attached. The task type is still temporary so that the nets have model appearance when their task starts, but I modified the task type’s appearance such that the end appearance is still model appearance so that the nets don’t disappear after task completion.
I created two Animator Animations: Position1 and Position2. In the Position 1 scene I used the nets as the animation set and created two key frames leaving the nets in their normal lower position. In the Position 2 scene, used the same nets as the animation set and created two keyframes after moving the nets up using the transform tool in Animator.
So to summarize, the two animations are just 1 second animations of the nets in two different positions.
I then specified these two different Scenes as the animations for the Net_pos1 and Net_pos2 tasks.
When you play the animation, the nets don’t appear until their temporary task starts. Once it finishes and Net_pos2 task starts, Positon2 animation plays so that same set of nets will jump to that new position at the start of its task and remain there.

Also, I found that I had a typo in my previous post. The temporary tasks end appearance in the other example is set to hide so that it is no longer visible. I accidentally wrote that it was none, and if it had been set to none, it would simply remain visible rather than hiding.
