Find Item - filter items by wing of a building

Hi to all, i'm trying Navisworks Manage 2014 here. Up to this point i managed to use searchs with success.

What i would like to do now is refine the search by wing, for instance select a type of door located in a wing of the building. This way i can set which elements will be built first on the timeliner, considering that diferent wings would be built at diferent days. Initially i thought in using scope boxes but haven't found a association between items and them, so now i'm stuck.

Is there a way of associate items to scope boxes in navisworks?

Is there another way of filtering the items by wing?

Thank you,

Gustavo

Hello there,

I would be interested in this issue too!! Also a selection range

narrowed by a defined  increment would be nice to have.

kind regards

The only way to filter buy wings or areas right now is to add a parameter or adjust layer names to include areas that can be searched out for.

Until now it's the only way i see, but would be nice to have a easier method. I'm trying with the parameter, but in big projects with lots of groups is a tedious way of spending anyone's time. I found a post about this subject on augi´s whishlist, so i think i'll have to stick with parameters for some time.

Thanks
