Cant see imported obejct

I have a llight fixture file I downloaded, which is a dwg file.  I open it with Manage and it looks fine and it created an nwc file out of it.

So I tried to append the nwc file into my model and then it just shows up as a few dots.

Anyone know how to fix this ?

Thank you for your post.  In this case, is it singular to one dwg file that is problematic?  If so you may need to clean the said file up using the outlined process from the link below.  In addition to this, sometimes a new NWC file created from the file can overcome this issue.  Please test both of these and let us know how this worked out.  Thank you.

Thanks for the response.

I performed all suggested fixes and that did nothing.

Which is what I expected since the file opens fine when I open it in Manage and it is only when I try to bring it into a model I already have that it does not appear.  I've had it happen before but typically this does not occur.

There has to be some setting or some thing to do with how the light fixture was made as to why it shows when it opened by iteself but then not displaying when it is appended into an existing model.

Stupid question time: is the host NWF the same units (inches, millimeters, meters, etc.) as your light model?  I've had this happen with mechanical models (millimeters) and civil models (meters).

I am not sure I understand your question.  The host NWF is composed of an NWD made by someone else (It's a building) and my own piping model exported from autocad.  I import a piping model into it that I drawin in Autocad and that works just fine.  I can XREF this light fixture dwg into my autocad dwg and it displays fine there.  I can open the light fixture dwg with manage by itself and it looks fine.  Then when I open my NWF with the building and try to append the light into it all I see are dots, sort of in an outline of the edges of the light but not enough to tell it is the light and it doesn't come in where I have it placed in my autocad drawing, it always moves it way off in the distance.

I can check units just fine in the autocad drawing but how do I check units in an NWF file ?

I added a couple pictures you can kind of see the outline of the light with the dots.
