Can you "Save" & Number a View in FREEDOM?

Can you "Save" & Number a View with 3D Plus Measurements (Distances etc.) in NAVISWORKS FREEDOM?

No, Freedom is a viewer, so you cannot change or save the NWD file. You
need simulate to create a Viewpoint with redlining and save it in the NWD.
But you can make a screenshot of your measurement.

Thanks Patrick---

How can I Save a View in Viewpoint?---

As there is an Option in FREEDOM to Save, Load & Playback

a View, Under Viewpoint/Save, Load & Playback---

however, when I use this Option to "Save" the View

is not Saved---how do I save the Views and Playback?

Please let me know---Thanks---

Again, NO you can't in Freedom.

you can only Load the Viewpoints or Playback the Animations that (somebody else) has saved in the NWD file.

To Create, Save, Export and Viewpoints and Animations, you need Navisworks Simulate or Navisworks Manage.

Thanks Patrick.

I have a qestion on the same subject.

In NAVISWORKS MANAGE---

When I Create a View, how do I "Save Selection"

or "Save Viewpoint" in a manner that Selections/

Views can be Retrieved as they were Saved and I can

go back to the Original 3D Model as needed?

I have Created Selections/Views---but cannot go back

to different Selections & Views and also go back to

the "Original" Complete 3D Model.

Thanks Very Much---

Check your options: In ViewPoints Defaults: "Save/Hide Required attributes" must be ON for this to work.
The first thing I do after appending all models that I have, is save a view called "Overview". I also set this view as Homeview in the ViewCube.
Then I start creating views where things are hidden or clipped.
Then I save as my NWF. If I need to do some more on this models, I can open the NWF
Then I save as NWD, and give the NWD to everyone that has Freedom.

Thanks Patrick.

However, I cannot mark Save/Hide Attributes Box as it appears

"greyed-out" each time---how do I handle this?

Also, the View that I get as default is the clipped View

that I have Created---how do I get the View for the Original Full

Model again---and juggle between Full Model Views and

clipped Views that I will Create? I believe that all this is done

in MANAGE, as per what you mentioned---and then Shared as NWD

in FREEDOM---is this correct? Apologize, but I am new to NAVISWORKS.

Please provide detailed Instructions---with Full Commands---

would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks Very Much---

Yes, that is correct. It has to be done in Manage or Simulate.
