Activate bounding box in clash viewpoint

Hi,

Is it possible to activate the bouding box in a clash viewpoint by default (when exporting the clashes to viewpoints)? I figured out that all the exported viewpoints contains a bounding box around the clash. I would like to activate this bounding box by default, instead of clicking on the viewpoint and enabling sectioning (very time consuming in case of 100+ clashes).

Thanks in advance!

Thank you for your post.  At this time the box is unable to be manipulated from the standard settings.  I have included a helpful video illustrating the possible settings within the Navisworks, stock interface.  In regards to this request, you could also navigate to the link below to request further investigation into the feature and options from our development team.  This will enable further discussion around a possible business case and the importance of this flexibility in future release.  The feedback will go directly to the product manager for consideration on this and all suggestions.  Thank you.

Thanks for your reply. I want to manipulate the exported xml with all the viewpoints of the clashes, to activitate the section box. I figured out how to enable the section box, but I don't know how to calculate the target point (look at) based on the values in the xml file.

How can I calculate the x,y,z target point by using the focal and other settings in the xml file (like the example below)? I think, I can dimension the section box by using this XYZ position, right?

Example:

<viewpoint tool="none" render="shaded" lighting="headlight" focal="437.3982042690">
<camera projection="persp" near="392.8371786167" far="879.0814667201" aspect="1.8512518409" height="0.7853981634">
<position>
<pos3f x="290.6574240762" y="-266.0571428211" z="317.4998859942"/>
</position>
<rotation>
<quaternion a="0.4144984334" b="0.2989872154" c="0.5028365990" d="0.6971033270"/>
</rotation>
</camera>
<viewer radius="0.9842519685" height="5.9055118110" actual_height="5.9055118110" eye_height="0.4921259843" avatar="construction_worker" camera_mode="first" first_to_third_angle="0.0000000000" first_to_third_distance="9.8425196850" first_to_third_param="1.0000000000" first_to_third_correction="1" collision_detection="0" auto_crouch="0" gravity="0" gravity_value="32.1522309711" terminal_velocity="164.0419947507"/>
<up>
<vec3f x="0.0000000000" y="0.0000000000" z="1.0000000000"/>
</up>
</viewpoint>

To change the viewpoint centre, you just need to change the values behind <pos3f, but for the Clipbox, you will need the <box3f> and <box-rotation> sections also.
I would advice to start with a copy of your NWD or NWF, delete all viewpoints, Create one that is what you want (point, sectioning etc) then export to XML
Then edit the XML manually (indlucind the viewpoint name) and import and see if it works..
