ACAD NWC Exporter......Brainfart..

Okay, it's been a few years since I added the NWC exporter for ACAD, since I've been in RAC for a long time now.  Am working a Project for an Electrical Contractor, we're getting  dwg files from the Mech Contractor in 3D (CAD DUCT I think).  Anyway, I know NWM will directly read the dwg files, but I wnat to test and used the NWC files from the drawing files.  I just installed NW SP1 and the undated exporters, but now have a BRAINFART about two to load the exporters into ACAD.  I just checked my ACAD, and it's NOT under the Plugins Tab.

Thanks,

MIke

you have to go to programs/features in the control panel and select the navisworks exporters and choose uninstall/change

Darren, I did that..it shows it as being installed for ACAD................my problem is, I cannot remember where or how to find it in ACAD.  thus the BF...............do i need to do an appload or something.  Like I said, the last time I used NW with any ACAD Vertical was for 2008 ADT.

Hi Maike,

You'll need to load the ARX plug-in into that application. I've added a section of the help file below.

To load the ARX plugin in an AutoCAD-based application

  1. Type ARX at the command line.
  2. Press Return.
  3. Type the letter L (for ‘Load’) at the command line.
  4. Press Return.
  5. In the Select ARX/DBX Filedialog box, browse to the ARX plugin.
Note. For AutoCAD 20xx based applications, the plugin is located under C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Autodesk Navisworks\2012\NWExport20xx\nwexport20xx.arx. So, for example, for AutoCAD 2004 based applications, the plugin is located under C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Autodesk Navisworks\2012\NWExport2004\nwexport2004.arx, and so on.
  6. Click OK to load the ARX plugin.

Let me know if this doesn't work
