2 doors with the same name and same GUID

Hi

I am confused, I am doing test with a building and importing / linking from Revit to Navisworks. Everything works great, but there is one thing that bother me which is that I have doors that are identical. Even the GUID is the same, but still not the same door, not even on the same wall or at the same level.

This is not only example as there are other types of door that have the except same name are also twins in Navisworks. But not in Revit. So if someone could tell me why this happens would be appreciated.

I am using Revit 2013 and Navisworks simulate 2013.

When you select an object, there can be multiple identifiers for the element (instance, type, family, category, etcetera).

The Selection Resolution (on the Item Tools Ribbon Tab, Select & Search Ribbon Panel dropdown), gives you control what level you are looking at when selecting an object.

If you have the Selection Resolution set to Last Object (or anything other than First Object), try setting it to First Object and see how the GUID values are affected.
