XML refers to schema location which cannot be found

Hi,

If you create a XML from Navisworks 2014 to export for example clashes, the xml shows in the top line the reference to the xsd schema. But, the location mentioned does not exist.

http://download.autodesk.com/us/navisworks/schemas/nw-exchange-11.0.xsd

In the past we have experienced that the XML that was generated from Navisworks (clash report) was not according to the XSD schema. (the element 'Grid location' was in the xml file but was not defined in the XSD schema, which made it hard to validate xml files).

I would like to know where the schema used in Navisworks 2014 can be found, so I can check whether this issue has ben resolved.

Hi,

As you mentioned it, the "nw-exchange-11.0.xsd" file is not available from the web location.
You can find a copy of the "nw-exchange-11.0.xsd" file in the "Schemas" folder of the Navisworks installation path,
for example in "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Navisworks Manage 2014\Schemas".
I hope it helps.

Rene:

I am getting a similar error when trying to imprt an XML that was generated by Navisorks 2016.

The import is looking for 'http://download.autodesk.com/us/navisworks/schemas/nw-exchange-12.0.xsd'

Where is the schema for NW 2016 located?
