True 3D Viewing of a Model

Does this application allow for true 3D viewing of a model or just the rendered model? I am working with a complex refinery model and was asked to research the possibility of viewing it in true 3D showing depth. At the AU-2009 I saw that Nvidia has a good looking 3D model viewing ability with the new 3D Vision:( http://www.nvidia.com/object/3D_Vision_Main.html -or- http://www.nvidia.com/object/3D_Vision_Overview.html ) this is what I am looking for, but with the ability to see the piping model of an oil refinery for a client walk-through in live time.

This ability has to be out there, I just can’t seem to find it.

Navisworks includes support for stereo when using a graphics card that supports it (including the NVIDIA Quadro cards that Patrick mentions). If your card supports Quad Buffered Stereo, then you will be able to turn if on using the View -> Stereo menu item. If the menu item is disabled, your card does not support stereo or the card's driver has not enabled stereo support (look in the Display control panel, there's usually an option buried away that has to be turned on).

Does GeForce GT 230M support stereo viewing ? it's driver version is the latest 197.16.
if it support stereo, then how do I turn on the option?

I think Ge-Force driver supports stereo 3D only for games and multimedia contents, not for professional programs. You need a Quadro class graphic card.

saids Navisworks supports active stereo (3D vision Pro) and PASSIVE stereo.

If Navisworks also supports PASSIVE stereo, what lcd screen and polarized glasses you need to enable it ?

Can  I use 3D Vision Pro on a NVIDIA GeForce GPU?
  Yes, but application support is limited  to the same games, movie players and lifestyle applications as 3D Vision.
