Revit to Timeliner

I new to Navisworks and am trying to learn how to import and 4D simulate revit files.  I created a basic revit mdel (footings, foundation walls, floor slab, brick on CMU exterior walls - the concrete in the footings has a unique material name from the concrete in foundation wall, as does the slab concrete).  I opened Timeliner added a task with start and end dates, then used the attach button to attach geometry (ie footings) to that task. After assigning geometry to tasks I ran simulation and nothing happens (blank).  What steps am missing here? Suggestions?

Have you made sure you assigned a "Task Type"? THis controls the visibilty of the object when the activity is played (Construction activity, Temporary activity or Demo).

It an extra column in Timeliner. The Configuration tab lets you customize the looks.
