: Review PDMS Model in Navisworks

Hello Everyone

I'm trying to do something about it... i export a RVM file with rules like this:

\all with PURP EQ 'GRAT'\21
\all with PURP EQ 'STRU'\20

then i opened the "colors.txt" file and saved to:

C:\Documents and Settings\Christiansen\Datos de programa\Autodesk Navisworks Simulate 2010\rvm

then i change the colors as follow:

where says: "Color Assignments: " i go to the color marked as 21

21   =   LightGold

then, i search Lightgold in the lower part of the file, where says "Color Definitions:" and change the RGB color as Follow:

LightGold      =  176   238   0

I save the file, reinit the Naviswork Simulate 2010 and open the file project.rvm but the result is this:

RVM Result

where the blue color should look more bright, the plum color more grey (as concrete) the handrails, the grating, etc...

even i change the plum as red (255   9     9) and still look like the image above...

as no change are showed, i replace (making a backup, of course) the original colors.txt file in it's original location, but nothing seems to work.

i don't know if i'm doing something wrong or the file colors.txt does do nothing...

thanks in advance

Can you try this with the latest release?

You can get a 30 day trial from http://autodesk.com/navisworks

If this doesn't work then you can also use the Appearance Profiler in 2012 which allows you to map colors to properties using Search Sets.
