NW-Revit MEP 2013 - Pipe Fittings not showing up as 3D

Is there a setting I am missing?  I just discovered that my pipe fittings are coming in as single-line, while the straights are coming in as expected as models.  I am using the new NW2013 reading a new Revit MEP 2013 pipe layout.

Update:  I downloaded and installed the current three Object Enablers for 2013: Plant3D, Civil3D, and the Structural Detailer.  None helped with the pipe fittings from Revit.  Is this a possible OE problem and if so, when is it expected to have an OE released?

I am declaring a bug.  :smileyfrustrated:

My findings are:  Use the Exporter rather than the Reader, the Exporter exports correctly, while the Reader, appears to be reading alot as Medium detail level from Revit.  Duct is hard to tell because it appears the same in Fine or Medium.  CableTray will Export out in Fine detail, while the Reader will see it as Medium detail.  Pipe/Conduit fittings Export fine, but the Reader makes the fittings Medium/Single-Line, yet the straight pieces will come in as expected.

Recommendation: RMEP use the Exporter not the Reader.

Having the same problem with pipe fittings.  Exporter works fine as you suggested.

Building Desighn suite 2013 premium

does anyone know of a workaround for the issue with missing fittings. ductwork seems to be fine but pipework fittings are miissing.

i also dont seem to be able to find any means of exporting a Revit file to Navis

Regarding the NWExporter, if you have installed Navisworks after installing Revit, you should have the Exporter in the Addins Tab.  If it isn't there, you can download the NWExporter for Revit:

I have attached a NWD with two models, one is READ by NW, the other is Exported via the plugin, so that the difference can be seen.  The Exporter exports the pipe fittings as models, while the Reader gets them in as single line.  And, btw, I do have the SP1 installed on my Navisworks Manage.

Dennis,

I report this during Beta Testing way back when...............you are correct in that the only way at this time to get any fittings to show is to export via the NWC addin in RST.

We also found that exporting the Revit file as a DWF will also bring in the connectors.

tried the exporter and its a rubbish workaround!!! once again a half baked approach from Autodesk.

we need to send clients a coloured up Navis NWD file so they can use the free viewer and see how the design is developing. if i export to NWC from revit, it means that i have to apply a colour set every time i want to send out a NWD file.

i want to merge the revit files into Navis, apply colours once and once only, and then as the revit model develops i can just refresh the NWF before publishing to NWD.

at the moment all i have is a revit model in Navis with no pipe fittings!!!
