Good day
Have in example one metal part and another one is just mirrored on X axis in Allplan.
When i import it in Navisworks, it also mirrors it in Y axis direction.
In free IFC viewer DDS-CAD all is OK, both part are just mirrored on X axis.
Never use mirror command if i want to import IFC to NW? 😞
P.s. IFC made from allplan, this metal parametric parts = alplan's smartparts.
And if i export it to DWG, all is ok, just problem with IFC.
Thanks in advance,
Alex Busov
Hi Alex,
I've logged this with development. Not quite sure what is happening, hopefully we can get this resolved in a future release.
If it's possible, please write where is the problem is borrowed.
As far as IFC is almost just a text file, we can try to manually write a script to correct such objects/files.
if we could know what happends to them.
Thanks a lot.
Also importing to Acad Mep with "IFCImport" command gives non mirrored parts as we need.
Seems to be something with Navis :(.
P.S.but in AMEP some info looses on other parts...
Removing the lines below resolves the problem, editing the IFC file would have to be at your own risk though.
#20097= IFCBUILDINGELEMENTPROXY('05AiV1NIn39QVzibYnDMtx',#4, '\S\L\S\M-553-1',$,$,#20087,#20075,$,$);
Very pity, but it doesn't help.
Removing that string gave that one part just disappeared in NW and in tekla bimsight.
In Autocad MEP, DDS-CAD viewer example.ifc with deleted string don't even loading
The problem seams to be somewhere deeper.
In attachments how "example.ifc" from my first post looks in different applications: Tekla BIMSight, DDS-CAD viewer, Navisworks.
Thanks Alex, that workaround seemed to resolve the problem for me. It is with development and we hope to resolve this in a future release. For now however there is not much more we can do until there are changes in the product.
