Data comparision with Navisworks Manage

Hi,

I need your expertise.

I have an IFC I need to open in Revit.  However, when it complete, warninig list appears stating some geometries could not be converted.

Since Revit cannot find "missing" geometries, I am wondering if there are ways to use Navis to compare original IFC data and Revit data generated from IFC.

I found Revit data has "Tag" parameter under type tab that is identical to IFC's "Tag" parameter.

(I also found Revit's "IfcGUID" parameter under element tab, is same as "GLOBALID" in IFC.)

I thought, if I can compare both parameters and search for the difference, I can pin point which instance is missing in Revit.

Please advice.

Of course, if there is a better way to do so, I would like to hear those ideas.

Regads,

Jun

worth a try:
Create an NWC out of Revit, only with the imported IFC
Start a new NWF file, append the NWC and the original IFC
Select both files in the Selection Tree
Then the Compare command becomes available, with some options
