Can Navisworks Freedom open any version of Revit?

Can the current version Navisworks Freedom that is posted on the Autodesk site open any past version of the NWD file?

Sorry for asking an oblivious question but I have never used Navisworks and the client wants a software supplication that they can "walk through" long after the project is completed and handed over to them.  Just want to make sure  I am giving them the right product so they don't have to come back to me every time they want they need an updated version.

Minor oops in the title 🙂

Older NWD and 3D DWF files should open in newer versions of Freedom.  Other types, such as Revit, cannot be opened by Freedom regardless of version.
