Appending an .ifc file using AppendFile

I have some working code that appends an .rvt file to a Navisworks file using AppendFile and then saves the NW file. As mentioned, this is already working production code.  

Now the client wants to be able to do the same thing but with an .ifc file instead.  The "doc.AppendFile(...)" line runs without exception, but the file is not actually appended.  However, I am able to manually append the .ifc file from within Navisworks.

Does the AppendFile method support appending .ifc files?  I'm not sure if this is an API limitation, or if I am simply doing something wrong.

Hi,

I did not reproduce this problem, no matter plugin or control. These are my test vedios. Does this problem occur with specific ifc, or specifc code? Please provide them if so.
