edit predefined commands

Is there a way to edit predefined commands, such as save?

I haven't done it since lisp, but theoretically you can undefine an autocad command and replace it with your own. After a (very) quick search, I still only see this in the Lisp help.

There is a post on Through the Interface here, if the link works...

It shows a method of watching the DocumentLockModeChanged event, and checking which command caused the event, then deciding whether or not to 'Veto' the command. That might work for you.

Short of replacing them with your own versions
(same

way it is done with LISP), there's no way
to 'edit' a

command.

You can handle various events (like for example,
the

BeginSave and SaveComplete events of the
Database),

to get control when a file is saved, if that might
help.
