Now that the .NET platform is available to AutoCAD I was wondering which of the languages is more popular for AutoCAD purpose (VB, #C, C++).

I have been programming in VBA all this time, but I would like to jump to the .NET but I don’t know what to start playing with.

If you're coming from VBA start with vb.net.

Download the express edition of vb.net from microsoft, it's free.

Go to augi (sign up for free) go under the education tab and download all the au documents you can find on .net.

Google for the autodesk blog through the interface

Also download the Autodesk ARX SDK and the sample files.

This will give you more than enough information to get started. If you have any questions or have trouble locating these resources feel free to post again.

good luck and keep coding

But once you finally get it you'll make enough money so you won't care that you're bald...~) Or will be able to get a good rug...
