No, they're not two different beasts. There are some
differences, but they are more alike than they are
different. The fact of the matter is that the managed
wrappers for ObjectARX require some understanding of
ObjectARX.
The only problem here is that the hill may be a bit too
steep for some of you VB 'programmers', but spinning
that as something other than what it is, isn't going to
get you much sympathy from most ObjectARX types.

If this is all the logic we need for ARX than I'm
all set....

So managed ObjectARX question would be best served by the ObjectARX group? I
think that's what Mike was driving at.

Hi there,
This is a bit terse. Can you elaborate? What do you perceive as a problem
here?

ObjectARX programmers also must use the COM
API for accessing toolbars and menus. Not sure
what you mean by third item. What have you found
lacking?

Thanks, yes, that's my point. Poor choice of wording on my part.

Correct me if I am wrong, but there is no ObjectARX.NET There is ObjectARX
and there is the managed .NET libraries. You can do ObjectARX dev or
C++.NET/VB.NET/C#.NET dev

Oh, and my choice of wording about being "different beasts" was poorly
conceived.My point is we have OUR group now and there remains the ObjectARX
group =)
