I was just curious,
I am creating a plugin in .Net and pondering the possiblity of having a preview window? Example, say I had a plugin that created a custom 3D object and there were options in creating it, is it possible to have a preview window with a 360° orbital rotation rendered and spinning in the palette?
Sure!
Here's a starting point:

This is somewhat along those lines, but I am trying to create an object with a palette and have a preview of it before it is created in the view of the open drawing, before the transaction runs commit() If that isn't possible, I guess I could always put the visible state to false? Then once the create button is clicked change it to true? But that would mean the object would be in the db and it may not need to be there if it isn't what is wanted...
The BlockView class lets you look at a blocktablerecord which resides in the block table, and there's no need to add a blockreference in model space in order to view it.
