PlotMsgString won't display "&" character

I am plotting to a folder called "hydrant & valve" and trying to indicate that in plotmessageindex.sheetname but it skips over the "&" character.  As an experiment I added some Chr(38) and they just won't display.

pd.PlotMsgString(PlotMessageIndex.SheetName) = "* show ampersand - & *" produces

Use two ampersands.

The static text label is interpreting a single ampersand as a

prefix for an accelerator character (e.g., underlining the

character following it), like you see in menus.
