Large Preview of .dwg File for VB.Net Application

I need to display a large preview of a .dwg file in my VB.Net application. A thumbnail will not work, I need a much larger image so that users can view the preview in more detail. Resizing the thumbnail will result in the loss of far too much detail. Is there a component or other way to display a large preview of a .dwg file.

Look's like you're out of options.

Rendering views of a DWG file requires megabytes of code,
whether it be from Autodesk, ODA, or someone else.

Thats a little odd - we're on our third generation (upgrading to 2010 version shortly) of TrueView and haven't had any install problems across a variety of computers and Win-based operating systems. Still, glad you found a path forward.

Have you seen CadLib (that read and creates DXF files) it is an old class
located at cadproject.com

There is one named DXFreader at codeproject.com

Might be of some help or a start.
