Keyboard/Mouse hook in ACAD

Hi everyone,

I need to detect if user has pressed a key
or a mouse button (SHIFT key and/or right mouse button). Even if ACAD is in
quiescent state. I also need to pass user's click further down the command
stack (just need simple detection, nothing else). Is there any
straightforward way to do that? Otherwise I'll have to establish some
low-level keyboard hook to wait for a keypress.

At the end, it seems that deploying a keyboard
hook is inevitable (P/Invoking and all). I was hoping for a more lightweight
solution to that...

P.S.

"But will this work in Vista?" :-)
