Hi,

I am creating a .net plugin for AutoCAD 2012 and planning to distribute this as a setup to the customers.

The setup for my plugin needs to ensure that AutoCAD 2012 is installed already on the customers PC.

What is the best indicator for me to consider?

Hi,

check the registry for

[HKLM]\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R18.2

If this key exists you can be sure that a AutoCAD 2012 based product (plain AutoCAD or vertical Product like ACA, Map3D, Civil3D, ...) is installed.
