How to determine width of square by vb.net

I have a difficult problem. This is, how can i determine width of a square when i click inside it. And i have attach file autocad.

Try start with this post. This is C# code, but but it will easily translate.

This way you can find boundary object collection which contain probably 4 lines or 1 polyline

object (depending on the type of objects that define the rectangle). Then you can work around with finding extents or line start and end points to obtain rectangle width.
